Before you start

The domain must have a DNS A record pointing to the server IP.
The server must be running, with port 80 open for validation.

Step by step

Under "Issue new certificate" choose the domain and server.
Enter an email for expiry and renewal notices.
Check the "Pre-issue checklist" (DNS A record, port 80, valid email) and click "Issue certificate".
Under "Your certificates" see status (Active, Expiring soon, Expired), issue date, expiry and days left.
Certificates renew automatically. The Refresh button on the certificate card checks the certificate again and updates its status; it does not issue a new certificate.

Common questions

Issuing fails.: Almost always the domain does not point to the server yet or port 80 is closed. Check the A record on the DNS page and try again.
The server shows under "Needs attention".: The server is not available for SSL (e.g. not running or no IPv4). Open a support request if you are unsure why.
