Before you start
- You need an active domain in the portal. Wrong DNS changes can take down a website or email: only change what you understand.
Step by step
- Choose a domain under "Choose a domain".
- Under "Add record" choose a type: A (IPv4), AAAA (IPv6), CNAME (alias), MX (email), TXT (verifications, SPF) or SRV.
- In "Name" enter @ for the main domain or the subdomain (e.g. www, shop).
- In "Value" enter an IP, hostname or text. For MX also set a priority.
- Choose a TTL (5 minutes, 1 hour, 1 day) and click "Add".
- Under "DNS records" click Edit to change a record or delete to remove it.
- For business email, read the MX, SPF and DKIM, and DMARC guidance cards at the top. Add the records supplied by your email provider using the Add Record form.
Common questions
- The change is not visible yet.
- Wait for the old record's TTL. Some internet providers cache for up to a few hours.
- "Connection to the DNS provider failed".
- A temporary registrar problem. Try again or open a support request.
