SFTP accounts
Create SFTP accounts to upload files with FileZilla, Cyberduck or WinSCP, or to give a designer or developer access to a single folder.

Before you start
- You need a server. New servers support SFTP accounts automatically. For older ones, request setup through a support ticket.
Step by step
- Choose a server.
- Under "New user" enter a username (lowercase, digits, _ or -, 3–31 characters), e.g. designer01.
- Optionally set an access folder under /var/www (e.g. /var/www/html/uploads). The user only sees that folder.
- Enter a 10–64 character password, or leave it empty for an automatic one.
- Click "Create" and copy the login details. They are shown only once.
- In your SFTP program connect to the server IP as host, port 22, with the username/password.
- In the Active users table, use the password reset button to change access credentials, or Delete to remove an account you no longer need.
Common questions
- I forgot the password.
- Click "Reset password". A new one is generated and the access folder stays the same.
