Follow the steps in your account
Open in platform Sign-in and access to this tool are required.
Before you start
- For an app: install Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password or similar on your phone. For SMS: add a phone number under "Settings" first.
Step by step
- Scan the QR code with the app. If you cannot, type in the secret shown.
- Enter the 6-digit code from the app and click "Enable 2FA".
- Save the 10 backup codes (copy or print). Each works once and helps if you lose your phone.
- Alternatively, under "SMS verification" click "Send code", enter the code you received and click "Enable SMS".
- If you used or lost your backup codes, click "Regenerate" for 10 new ones. The old ones stop working.
Common questions
- "Invalid code".
- Your phone clock must be set automatically. Enable automatic time and try a new code.
- I lost my phone.
- Log in with a backup code, disable 2FA and enable it again on the new phone. If you have no backup codes, open a support request.
